Miss Mardi Gras?? Get ready to see green at the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade marching down Magazine Street and St. Charles Avenue the Sunday before March 17th! Revelers will fling onions, potatoes, cabbage, and carrots instead of beads, so watch overhead. Dapper gents will hand out paper flowers in hope of a kiss. Don your greenest garb or risk a pinch based on the holiday attire law.
Annunciation Square's block party near Chippewa and Race offers Irish tunes, dances, local fare, crafts, brews, and wines. Proceeds aid St. Michael's Special School. Here are some other block parties and pub events citywide too for shamrock shenanigans. Wherever you venture, expect joyous, community-wide celebrations!
